Our Mission at The CAC
Devastatingly, 1 in 10 children will be sexually abused before they turn eighteen.
The Children’s Assessment Center (The CAC) serves approximately 6,000 children and families annually by providing specialized forensic interviews, family advocacy and victim support, mental health services, medical examinations, and children’s court services at no cost. The CAC also offers outreach programs and prevention training to children, families, schools, law enforcement, and medical professionals. We employ an extraordinarily effective multidisciplinary team approach by collaborating with 60 partner agencies, including law enforcement, medical and mental health professionals, advocacy nonprofits, and governmental entities, all with the common goal of protecting children.
The CAC exists in our community to protect children, heal families, and prevent child sexual abuse and child sex trafficking.
